One thing I will say, their is a fair amount of resistance even on the easiest setting, it took me a little bit of time to build up to using it for the tabata sprints. One minor issue, the screws that came with mine were too short to connect the tray, not a huge deal as I don't really need it.They realized that the original treadmill was defective and replaced it. The new treadmill works exactly as expected. The size is perfect for a smaller space and it conveniently folds to make a smaller footprint. I worked with the manufacturer and tried to loosen the belt and apply more silicone to the track, but neither made it better. I've used other manual drive treadmills and none of them are this difficult to use (i.e., high force required to move treadmill belt). I'm 150 lbs and I can only use it on the lightest tension setting.It’s sturdy and well built but unless the incline is set you can’t really run, not a lightish person anyway (I’m about 130lbs). At its highest incline running works very well but it’s quite challenging. I’m moderately fit and I want it for running. I find it best for HIIT training at max incline, but I can’t run for long. When flat you can only really walk, as previous reviewer mentioned, which is a major drawback. So I find the workout too intense or too easy (ie walking), it’s hard to get that middle ground. Don’t make the mistake I made an order assembly. It comes more or less assembled!!The incline is manual but as simple as adjusting the height of the free end foot pedals. Lubricant is included. Minimal setup was needed. Excellent for walking or jogging or running. It all depends on what your body can sustain. I highly recommend.Other than that I adjusted and lubricated the belt according to the instructions and then proceeded to have an intense workout. I looked quite a bit for a manual treadmill and couldn't find anything else comparable to this one. The far more expensive curved manual treadmills available might be great for running, but I'm not clear on what else they'd be good for. This one seems a lot more practical with the various ways in which you could put it to good use. With the high weight capacity, for backpackers and military that want to train with a heavy ruck and high resistance, this machine would be a great tool. I have a regular automatic treadmill as well. Totally different workout, so having both in your home gym is optimal. But, if I had to only choose one I'd go with the 7700 due to it's versatility.Not great for long runs- get a motorized treadmill if that is your goal. Tread is just under 18 inches wide, enough for a comfortable workout. I debated this treadmill vs the Sunny Force Fitmill and am glad I spent the extra money. I agree with other reviewers that resistance is relatively high- I am 170 lbs and mostly use this treadmill at 13 degrees and resistance levels 1-3. I also debated buying a more expensive motorized incline treadmill (Nordictrack x11c) for the greater incline angle but find that 14 degrees incline provides plenty of incline.Im certain it was a returned treadmill that i got.
